  • CIN Quarterback #9
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
It was reported earlier that this was “believed” to be the case, but Rapoport reports that a team source has confirmed the injury. Burrow is also possibly dealing with torn ligaments in his toe, which could result in a multi-week absence for Burrow and the 2-0 Bengals. We’ll likely learn more about his recovery timeline in the coming days, but for now, we should expect backup Jake Browning, who threw for 241-2-3 in relief of Burrow, to start in Week 3 agains the Vikings.
  • NYJ Quarterback #7
Fields exited in the fourth quarter with a suspected brain injury and didn’t return to the field. Now, the team has confirmed their QB1 did suffer a concussion in Sunday’s loss, meaning he will need to clear protocol in time to suit up for Week 3’s game against the Buccaneers. Fields struggled mightily in nearly four quarters of action, completing just 3-of-11 passes for 27 yards while his replacement, Tyrod Taylor, went 7-of-11 passing for 56 yards and a score while adding another 21 yards on the ground. Fields’ status will be one to monitor throughout the week, but fantasy managers shouldn’t be surprised if Taylor gets the spot start in Week 3.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #11
Not exactly the comeback we were hoping for after Week 1’s dud, but at least the volume and target rate were efficient. Now all the Eagles have to do is fix their passing offense. Easy! Brown probably is on the lower-end of the WR1 line against the Rams in Week 3, but we wouldn’t blame you for being subjectively low on this passing offense after the last two weeks.
  • PHI Running Back #26
The “boom” in Saquon Barkley’s 2024 season seems to have been left in 2024, as he managed zero carries over 20 yards for the second-straight game. The volume is, of course, excellent. But regression appears to have come hard for the Eagles early in the season, with the offensive line downgrades and passing game weirdness contributing to Philadelphia just giving Barkley the ball and hoping he can do something great with it. Perhaps RB1 days will return again in Week 3’s matchup against the Rams, but this has been an inauspicious start (in fantasy) for the back who ruled last year’s roost.
  • WAS Quarterback #5
Daniels was hobbled during Thursday night’s loss to the Packers and underwent an MRI to determine exactly what he is dealing with. We don’t know the specifics of his injury at this time, but head coach Dan Quinn will likely speak more about his injury this week during his media availability, but this is obviously something to monitor. As long as he is on the field, Daniels should remain a must-start from a fantasy perspective, but his upside could be capped if the knee proves to hinder him from rushing as much as we are accustomed to seeing.
  • PHI Quarterback #1
The Eagles passing offense has disintegrated into something that looks incapable of moving the ball, something where A.J. Brown needs to make a spectacular four-yard catch to come even close to the first down. Kellen Moore is doing his strongest “Miss Me Yet?” in the background of this blurb. Hurts salvaged his overall line with a late rushing score to put the Eagles up 20-10, but if not for a 28-yard chuck-and-hope to DeVonta Smith on the outside, this was shaping up to go sub-100 yards. The Chiefs defense is good and all, but come on. Hurts’ rushing upside will keep him on the QB1 line but there’s already a case to be made that this Eagles pass offense needs to be better for him to be in the elite tier this year.
  • IND Running Back #28
Taylor was involved non-stop against the Broncos, and remained astonishingly efficient (6.6 YPC) despite the monstrous workload. His 68-yard run on the Colts’ first drive after halftime was the longest run of the game, and his 43-yard reception was the game’s second longest. Taylor’s receiving touchdown was an easy catch-and-run into the end zone during the second quarter, when Daniel Jones found him wide open in the flats. Taylor is an elite RB1 against the Titans next week.
  • ARI Wide Receiver #18
Harrison wasn’t involved in the second half, as the Cardinals went run heavy to protect a hefty lead that they almost blew to Bryce Young and the Carolina offense. MHJ caught a red zone pass and stiff armed a defender before being tackled inside the five yard line. Harrison, who had five grabs for 71 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against the Saints, saw 23 percent of the team’s air yards against the Panthers, trailing Trey McBride (33 percent). Harrison is set up to be something of a frustrating fantasy option if he can’t command targets at a higher clip in the coming weeks. Harrison faces the Niners in Week 3 and should remain in all fantasy rosters for now.
  • KC Wide Receiver #80
Thornton had another shot play earlier on the drive with his touchdown catch where he was wide-open deep after an Eagles defender fell, but Mahomes simply missed him. What can we say? The whole Chiefs deep offense relies on Tyquan Thornton, and Matt Nagy has proven to be a Tyquan Thornton merchant through two weeks. He’s a low-end FLEX dart throw against the Giants in Week 3. Good on the Chiefs for making a successful reclamation project out of Thornton, but it sure doesn’t feel good that the state of the offense in Week 2 is “Tyquan Thornton better win some sideline one-on-ones.”
  • KC Tight End #87
One of his incompletions was a drop at the goal line that turned into a Patrick Mahomes interception by Andrew Mukuba and all but sealed the game. Kelce has yet to show any whiff of the ceiling case we saw last year in ideal circumstances without Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy. Through two weeks, we’re more at “What if Brenton Strange married Taylor Swift?” That’s not to say Kelce needs to be dropped in shallow leagues, but we’re running out of weeks to believe he can turn back the clock.
