Renfrow ran as the Panthers’ primary slot receiver — as he did in Week 1 — and caught two of Bryce Young’s three touchdowns in Carolina’s furious second half comeback attempt. Hunter, as he did in his Raiders days, creates space in the short areas and is sure handed. He could function as a solid outlet for Young all season as the team’s No. 2 receiver (Xavier Legette turned eight targets into -2 yards on Sunday). Renfrow could benefit from pass-heavy game scripts this season if the Carolina defense remains one of the NFL’s worst. He’s a passable option in PPR formats for Week 3 against the Falcons.

The rookie once again operated as Bryce Young’s clearcut No. 1 target. He saw 30 percent of Carolina’s air yards and led the Panthers in target for a second straight week. McMillan’s highlight came on a 40-yard catch and run where he showed off his vision and speed after the catch. He now has 19 targets through two games. If the Panthers continue struggling on defense, Young and McMillan could be forced into frequent pass-heavy game scripts that would inflate drop back and target volume. McMillan should be locked into all fantasy lineups for Week 3 against the Falcons.

Benson continues to eat into James Conner’s workload in the Arizona backfield. Benson, who had 69 yards on eight rushes last week against the Saints, ran more routes than Conner and saw six targets, the second most among Cardinals pass catchers on the day. A far more explosive option than Conner, Benson should continue seeing a small but reliable weekly workload in a run-first Arizona offense. Benson would be something close to a top-12 option if Conner were to miss time in 2025. He needs to be rostered in all formats.

Engram’s Broncos career is off to an ominously slow start. Dealing with a calf injury he sustained in Week 1 against the Titans, he has just four catches for 33 yards over two games. The fact that head coach Sean Payton’s second-favorite tight end, Adam Trautman, is on the roster does not help matters for Engram. Trautman caught 3-of-3 targets for 10 yards and one touchdown against Indianapolis. Engram ran 19 pass routes in Week 1 while Trautman logged nine routes. Engram drafters might want to explore other tight end options in Week 3.

What’s clear after two weeks of regular season play is that Conners’ weekly upside will be capped by Trey Benson’s involvement in the Arizona backfield. Benson on Sunday three carries and four receptions and ran one more pass route than Conner. Conner saw much of the goal line work and punched in a one-yard rush for a touchdown in the first half. He underwhelmed overall against a Carolina defense that was bludgeoned on the ground by the Jaguars in Week 1. Conner should still be a decent RB2 play in Week 3 against the Niners.

Schefter reports that images of Burrow’s toe are being sent to foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson, who will review them and determine if surgery is necessary. It would be about the worst possible outcome for the Bengals’ QB1, who was seen in a walking boot and on crutches after the game. NFL Insider Jordan Schultz later reported that the team “expects to have full details tomorrow,” so we should have a good understanding of where things stand soon. A three month absence would put Burrow on track for a return around mid-December, but will likely also depend on where the Bengals’ record sits by the time he’s ready to return.

Murray was hot to start the game and progressively cooled off against a suspect Carolina defense. Murray missed a couple open throws in this one and passed on easy short-area attempts in favor of long scrambles that led nowhere. Murray had one vintage Kyler scramble in the second half in which he dodged half the Panthers defense on his way to a 30-yard gain. He fed Trey Benson as a short-area target to the tune of four catches and 30 yards. Murray is a decent weekly floor play in 12-team leagues but seemingly lacks the kind of ceiling he once had. He’ll be a top-15 option in Week 3 against the 49ers.

Fields exited in the fourth quarter with a suspected brain injury and didn’t return to the field. Now, the team has confirmed their QB1 did suffer a concussion in Sunday’s loss, meaning he will need to clear protocol in time to suit up for Week 3’s game against the Buccaneers. Fields struggled mightily in nearly four quarters of action, completing just 3-of-11 passes for 27 yards while his replacement, Tyrod Taylor, went 7-of-11 passing for 56 yards and a score while adding another 21 yards on the ground. Fields’ status will be one to monitor throughout the week, but fantasy managers shouldn’t be surprised if Taylor gets the spot start in Week 3.

Not exactly the comeback we were hoping for after Week 1’s dud, but at least the volume and target rate were efficient. Now all the Eagles have to do is fix their passing offense. Easy! Brown probably is on the lower-end of the WR1 line against the Rams in Week 3, but we wouldn’t blame you for being subjectively low on this passing offense after the last two weeks.
