What a comeback. The Bears trailed 21-3 at the end of the first half, but it was all Chicago in the second half, and Williams deserves much of the credit. The 2024 first-overal pick did throw a couple of costly picks — both on fourth down — but he made some outstanding throws to get the Bears back into the game, and he completed the comeback with a touchdown throw to DJ Moore from 25-yards out late in the fourth. Williams and the Bears will be playing at home next week, but their opponent — the Rams or the Eagles — won’t be determined until Sunday.
  • LA Wide Receiver #12
And somehow it could have been better, because his one incomplete pass was a 30-yard downfield pass towards the end of the first half that it hit him right in the hands. Had Nacua caught it, he had a fairly good shot at a third score. The favorite for offensive player of the year continued his grind, helping Matthew Stafford out by breaking up a late would-be interception and using his accuracy to erase some of the trouble Stafford and Davante Adams had getting on the same page throughout the game. Nacua seems destined to continue churning out Overall WR1 Games against whoever the Rams draw in the Divisional Round.
  • LA Quarterback #9
If you didn’t see the game, those numbers probably look pretty stellar. Stafford had major problems targeting Carolina’s corners outside, as 184 of the 304 yards came over the middle of the field. He was just 7-of-22 for 94 yards and a pick in the second and third quarters. However, with Panthers CB Jaycee Horn getting checked in the concussion protocol late in the game, he was able to pinpoint a 19-yard pass to Colby Parkinson on the sideline to give the Rams a three-point lead with 38 seconds left. We don’t know exactly where Stafford is going yet next weekend, but the Rams clearly are relying on him to keep them going and he’ll be an obvious staple in DFS lineups for the Divisional Round.
  • HOU Running Back #26
Jordan injured his ankle in Week 18 and failed to practice all week, eventually ruled out with the ailment. That leaves very little depth behind starting rookie Woody Marks, who could find himself in a workhorse role for the team’s Wildcard matchup against the Steelers. Nick Chubb appears likely to operate as the primary change of pace option while Dare Ogunbowale could rotate in on obvious passing situations.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #5
Palmer failed to practice all week before initially drawing the questionable tag, eventually ruled out on Saturday for the team’s Wildcard Round game against the Jaguars. He was then placed on injured reserve, ending his season. Keon Coleman is expected to be active due to the absence for a team in desperate need of play makers behind quarterback Josh Allen and running back James Cook. The team elevated DE Andre Davis and RB Frank Gore Jr. in an associated move.
  • CAR Quarterback #9
Young improved a lot in his third year after a rough first two seasons with the Panthers. The 24-year-old quarterback led Carolina to eight wins, a division championship and the playoffs. Young orchestrated four fourth quarter comebacks and six game-winning drives. He threw for over 20 touchdowns for the first time without increasing his interceptions and lowered his sack percentage. Young led the league in deep ball accuracy with a catchable percentage of 75 percent on passes that traveled at least 20 yards in the air. While Young still has work to do to be a top-15 fantasy quarterback, the Panthers are committed to him for at least the next two years now.
  • ATL Front Office #2
Ryan spent 14 of his 15 years in the NFL as a player with the Falcons, winning the MVP in 2016 and making four Pro Bowls. He signed a one-day contract to retire with the organization and was inducted into the Falcons’ ring of honor in 2024. Ryan is putting his reputation on the line in taking a job many believe was created specifically for him as the Falcons’ President of Football. He’s been granted full control with final say over all football decisions, including leading the search for the team’s next head coach and general manager. Ryan will pause his broadcasting career at CBS while he takes over the Falcons.
  • GB Head Coach
LaFleur’s current contract runs through the 2026 season, but the Packers aren’t going to have him coach next season on an expiring deal. Green Bay intends to extend the 46-year-old coach’s contract whenever the Packers’ season ends. LaFleur is 76-40-1 and has taken the Packers to the playoffs six times in seven years, though he’s yet to make it to the Super Bowl. Recent reports that LaFleur might not be safe in this round of the NFL coaching carousel never passed the smell test. Rapoport couldn’t be clearer in his reporting, explicitly stating that LaFleur isn’t coaching for his job in the first round of the playoffs, according to sources.
  • SF Tight End #85
Kittle got in limited work on Wednesday and Thursday and was spotted practicing again on Friday. He did play against the Seahawks in Week 18 so it’s not much of a surprise that he’ll be ready here. Kittle’s output will be paramount as the 49ers try to find a non-Christian McCaffrey trick over the middle against a fierce Eagles defense. He should make for a top-of-line DFS or Playoff Best Ball play at TE this week.
  • FA Head Coach
Harbaugh is probably awaiting to see if any other openings hit before he figures out his full plan of attack, but with nine teams already interested it seems safe to say that Harbaugh will be the one candidate this cycle who can name his own terms about who he’d like to work with, and seems likely to land an eight-figure contract when it is all said and done. Raanan adds that the Giants “want Harbaugh badly.”
