  • MIA Wide Receiver #17
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Waddle was a surprise addition to Tuesday’s injury report after not appearing on the first report of the week. He was listed as limited and got in another partial session today before being listed as questionable. He should be able to play through the shoulder ailment, but fantasy managers will want to keep tabs on this situation when the Dolphins release their inactives before kickoff. Malik Washington would slide into the No. 2 role if Waddle is unable to suit up.
  • KC Wide Receiver #1
Worthy got in a pair of limited sessions last week after being listed as a DNP on Wednesday. Getting on the field for the first practice of the week this time around is a step in the right direction and suggests Worthy could be ready to return to action on Sunday. He is reportedly dealing with a fully torn labrum after taking a brutal hit from Travis Kelce in Week 1. Getting Worthy back after just one game would be a massive win for a Chiefs team still in search of its first win of 2025.
  • WAS Quarterback #5
Quinn added Daniels had a good rehab session on Wednesday but would not practice. There’s almost no chance Daniels will suit up for Week 3 against the Raiders after sustaining a knee sprain last week in a loss to the Packers. That means Marcus Mariota will get the starting nod against Vegas. Mariota will be a marked downgrade for Terry McLaurin, Zach Ertz, and Deebo Samuel. Last year in a Week 7 start against Carolina, Mariota threw just 23 passes while rushing 11 times for 34 yards. The Commanders were 7 percent below their expected pass rate that day. Mariota will be usable in superflex formats.
  • NYJ Quarterback #7
Fields was ruled out Wednesday, which could mean he’ll be iffy for Week 4. The Jets will turn to 36-year-old journeyman QB Tyrod Taylor against a tough Bucs defense. Taylor last week completed seven of 11 attempts for 56 yards and a touchdown against Buffalo after Fields left the game with a brain injury. He’ll be a downgrade for Garrett Wilson, who profiles as a WR3 in 12-team leagues this week. Look for the Jets to be even more run heavy than usual against Tampa. Taylor’s rushing production could make him viable in superflex leagues.
  • LAC Outside Linebacker #52
Mack appeared to suffer a serious arm injury during Monday night’s win over the Raiders, and after evaluation, he should be able to avoid surgery and return to the LA lineup in October. It’s great news for a Chargers defense that has allowed the third lowest success rate to opposing offenses through two weeks, generating consistent pressure on enemy quarterbacks. Mack has one sack and two QB hits over the season’s first two games.
  • PIT Running Back #30
Warren in Week 2 against the Seahawks erupted for 86 yards on four receptions, thanks mostly to an incredible 65-yard catch and run in which he broke four tackles. Rodgers, for one, was impressed. “Jaylen is a great player,” Rodgers said after the team’s loss to Seattle. “That was an awesome catch and run. He brings a lot to the table. We might have to keep giving him more opportunities in the pass game, because every time he touches it, something good happens.” Kenneth Gainwell continues to be involved in the Steelers backfield, running 35 routes to 25 for Warren over two weeks. Rodgers, meanwhile, is checking down quite a bit, averaging a meager 5.7 air yards per attempt. The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo said “if Warren is going to continue to maximize his chances, especially in the passing game, the Steelers might reconsider that tactic.” Warren will be a top-15 fantasy option this week against New England.
  • GB Wide Receiver #11
In a post on X, Reed said he had a “successful foot and clavicle surgery.” The 25-year-old was dealing with a Jones fracture heading into the season and intended to play through it. However, he also broke his clavicle in the Packers’ Week 2 win over the Commanders. Reed gets both surgeries out of the way in an attempt to get back to full health later this season. The Packers are aiming to have their slot receiver back around November. Fantasy managers can move him to an IR spot while the murky Packers pass-catching group does not offer an easy alternative. Matthew Golden and Romeo Doubs are in the WR3/FLEX range while Dontayvion Wicks may claw his way back into fantasy relevancy.
  • MIN Running Back #33
He’ll miss at least the next four games and be eligible to return in Week 7, after Minnesota’s Week 6 bye. Jones is a worthwhile hold if your league has injured reserve spots, but you likely can’t expect him to do better than being co-head of a committee whenever he does return, and that’s assuming Jordan Mason doesn’t take advantage of this opportunity in a big way. Now in his age-31 season, Jones is firmly on the back nine of his fantasy relevance.
  • MIN Running Back #26
We’re surprised nobody thought to sign Akers so that they could squeeze a draft pick out of the Vikings this time. Akers has now been acquired midseason by the Vikings three years in a row. He’ll help fill in for Aaron Jones’ absence and could see a small share of carries if he’s in playing shape.
  • MIN Quarterback #4
Apparently they aren’t ready to thrust Max Brosmer into the fire as the main backup despite carrying him as an UDFA. The team will carry four quarterbacks on their 53-man roster while dealing with J.J. McCarthy’s high-ankle sprain. Ridder was terrible with the Raiders last year, turning six appearances and one start into a 458/2/2 line while getting sacked on 10.5 percent of his dropbacks. He’s still only 26, and now he’s in a Kevin O’Connell offense so we may have to care about him, but you’d think we would have seen a real sign of life from Ridder at some point over the last three years if he was going to be a solid NFL backup.
