  • LA Wide Receiver #12
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
The fact that Nacua is not practicing today is a bad sign for his Week 7 availability. Ever the injury-related optimist, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported earlier today that Nacua’s injury is “more minor than anything else,” though he quickly balanced the scales by then saying that he would not call Nacua’s quick trip to the imaging room “precautionary, because it’s not nothing.” If active, Nacua should be in fantasy football lineups because his talent and workload are almost unparalleled. That said, he is on the wrong side of questionable, and the Rams obviously do not want his injury to worsen.
  • KC Wide Receiver #4
Rice didn’t practice all week despite Andy Reid’s optimistic spin that he’s a “quick healer.” It’s hard to make much sense of how available he’ll be for Week 8 at this point as Rice hasn’t practiced since before the team’s Week 5 bye. Xavier Worthy will again get a WR3-caliber workload as The Only Game In Town for the Chiefs wideouts.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Here’s what happened: Ravens head coach Jesse Minter spoke and said the team is still “working through” whether Jackson would play on Sunday, and then the team took the unusual step of having both Jackson and Tyler Huntley talk to the media. Jackson also said he doesn’t need to be 100% to play and clarified that he had a high-ankle sprain. There’s little doubt in our minds at this point that Jackson is headed for a questionable tag after a limited Friday session. Reading between the lines, the fact that Huntley spoke probably sets us up nicely for a rug pull, but Jackson-reliant fantasy managers will probably be waiting until inactives on Sunday before they know for sure.
  • ARI Running Back #4
Things have been trending in this direction all week, but LaFleur officially confirmed on Friday that Love will miss a second straight game. Tyler Allgeier and Bam Knight will likely split duties again in Week 7 after seeing a near 50/50 split in the touch distribution last week, with Allgeier’s 19 touches narrowly edging out Knight’s 17. Both Allgeier and Knight are fringe RB2/RB3 plays against a stout Broncos defense. In addition to Love the Cardinals also ruled out DT Walter Nolen III (ankle), S Andrew Wiggins (ankle), and OG Jo Gaines II (ankle).
  • TB Wide Receiver #2
Just minutes after head coach Todd Bowles said the team would list Egbuka as doubtful, the official injury report listed him as out, despite his limited participation in Friday’s practice. Egbuka was unable to clear concussion protocol in time to be active for this week, and will now set his sights on returning in Week 8 in time to face the Falcons.
  • IND Tight End #84
Warren was a DNP throughout the week and has now been ruled out for this week’s game against the Vikings. This will be the second straight missed game for Warren, who first suffered the injury in last Friday’s practice. The Vikings have allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season, meaning fantasy managers are best off avoiding Will Mallory and Mo Alie-Cox as streaming options this week.
  • TB Quarterback #6
Mayfield was a full participant in practice all week and should be removed from the team’s final injury report when it’s released later in the day. Mayfield is expected to wear a protective glove on his throwing hand, which should prevent injury to the thumb he dislocated in Week 3, and will be on the QB2 radar in what is a must-win game for the 1-5 Buccaneers. Hopefully he can improve on a rough start to the season in which he threw for 615-2-2 in his first three games while completing 63.5 percent of his passes.
  • GB Running Back #8
LaFleur said Jacobs’ Week 7 status depends on how he gets through Friday’s practice. The 28-year-old back has looked “great” in practice this week, per an earlier quote from OC Adam Stenavich, and seems to be trending toward a return after a six-week stay on the Commissioner’s Exempt List. At this point, we would be surprised if Jacobs didn’t play this week against the Lions, but it’s too early to assume he will see his normal workload in his first game back. Even if he doesn’t get a full assortment of touches, we would still expect Jacobs to get enough work to justify starting him at RB2.
  • HOU Running Back #32
This will be the second game in a row that Montgomery has missed due to the groin injury he suffered in Week 5. Woody Marks, who totaled 17 touches in last week’s win over the Jaguars will again lead the Texans’ backfield. He has averaged 18.0 touches per game over the last two weeks and will be a volume-based RB2 with a chance at significant upside. Safeties Jalen Pitre (AC joint) and S Reed Blankenship (concussion) will also miss this week’s game against the Giants, putting the Texans down a handful of starters with one game left before their Week 8 bye.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
Glenn said Hall will be limited in Friday’s practice and that the team will “see how that goes” to close out the week. Hall has missed the last three games with his quad injury but the fact he is closing out the week with two-straight limited practices suggests he’ll be a true game-time decision entering Sunday. If he’s unable to play, Braelon Allen would again serve as the primary back in the Jets’ backfield and would be a fringe RB1/RB2 in what is shaping up to be a plus matchup against the lowly Dolphins.
