  • LA Running Back #23
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
The more efficient Blake Corum had 11 rushes for 73 yards and did not see a target in a run-heavy Rams offense. Williams led the LA backfield in routes but only had one look from Matthew Stafford. He was stuffed at the line of scrimmage a handful of times in the first half. The rushing volume in the Rams offense of late should make both Williams and Coum fantasy relevant every week, including next week against the Commanders.
  • LA Wide Receiver #12
Nacua, with Davante Adams (hamstring) sidelined, again dominated targets in the newly run-heavy LA offense. No other Rams pass catcher saw more than four targets on the day. Nacua’s touchdown came on a well-designed screen in the second half at the end of a long drive for the run-first Rams offense. Nacua, who had 41 targets over his prior four games, is among the safest players in fantasy football. He matches up against the Commanders in Week 9.
  • LA Running Back #24
Kyren Williams led the LA backfield with 16 carries for 56 yards. Corum was much more efficient as a rusher against the Chargers, regularly bursting through the line of scrimmage and shedding tacklers on a couple second half runs. The Rams have been run heavy since Davante Adams went down with a serious hamstring injury a few weeks ago. That’s generated more opportunity for Corum, who last week had 17 rushes. He ranks 44th among running backs in expected fantasy points per game in 2026. That kind of usage should make Corum flex-viable for now. He gets the Commanders in Week 9.
  • LAC Quarterback #10
Coming off their bye week, the Chargers looked worse than ever on offense, with Herbert apparently confused as to where to throw the ball or how to conduct OC Mike McDaniel’s complex pre-snap motion scheme. Herbert had a negative EPA per drop back. Both of his picks were of the mind blogging variety, thrown directly to Rams defenders in the open field. Frustrated and dejected, Herbert continues his worst pro season for the winless Bolts. As usual, Herbert — who ranks 33rd in fantasy points per game — won’t be a fantasy option in Week 9 against the Texans.
  • DET Wide Receiver #1
Williams scored the Lions’ lone passing touchdown on a short corner-of-the-end-zone grab in the first half. Williams was second behind Amon-Ra St. Brown in targets, functioning as the primary downfield threat with a nice 46-yard catch on a Jared Goff shot down the middle. Williams, who came into Week 8 with the 16th most air yards among wide receivers this season, should remain in lineups next week against a vulnerable Buffalo secondary that has struggled against boundary wideouts.
  • DET Quarterback #16
Goff, like all quarterbacks against the Vikings, seemed lost from start to finish, unable to decipher to intricate Vikings blitz scheme. He was sacked four times and saw pressure on seemingly every drop back before the Lions abandoned the pass game for the run game in the second half. Sunday marked only the second game this season in which Goff did not have multiple touchdown throws, and the first time he has not eclipsed 200 passing yards. Goff should be able to get back on track next week against a bad Dolphins defense.
  • MIN Wide Receiver #3
Kyler Murray targeted Addison deep a few times in this one and connected with Addison on a 51-yard deep shot over double coverage in the injury-riddled Lions secondary. It was good to see signs of life from Addison, who entered Week 8 averaging fewer expected fantasy points per game than Cooper Kupp and Kendrick Bourne. The team’s primary downfield threat, Addison’s role in the run-heavy Minnesota offense makes him a boom-bust weekly play. That won’t change in a good matchup in Week 9 against the Bills.
  • CIN Quarterback #9
Burrow and the Bengals passing offense started off slow, ending the first quarter scoreless. A first quarter interception from Burrow in Titans territory led to a Tennessee score the other way. He finished the half on a better note, tossing a 30-yard touchdown to Ja’Marr Chase and a one-yard score to Jack Endries. The second half saw many more possessions between both teams, with Burrow throwing two more interceptions to give the Titans increased opportunities. He was able to lead several scoring drives regardless, tossing three touchdowns in the second half and scrambling for the go-ahead touchdown in overtime. A high-scoring game script leads to very productive days for Burrow and the Bengals offense. Burrow profiles as a fantasy QB1 once again for Week 9 against the Falcons.
  • MIN Tight End #87
It was Hockenson’s third touchdown grab of the season, as he remains Kyler Murray’s most trusted target in the run-heavy Vikings offense. He now has at least four receptions in four games this year. Hockenson, who came into Week 8 ranked tenth among tight ends in expected fantasy points per game, should remain in all lineups next week against the Bills.
  • LV Running Back #2
Jeanty was benched as the Raiders’ early-down back, getting out-carried 25-2 by Mike Washington Jr. For his part, Washington was not effective, churning up just 3.3 yards per carry and getting stoned on a bevy of goal-line handles. Speaking afterward, coach Klint Kubiak said the move was his call but that "(Jeanty) is still going to be a big part of our team.” Jeanty made waves during the week when he said the Jets could not tackle. Rather than let the struggling second-year back prove his theory on the field, the Raiders made the takedown themselves for the Jets. While it’s clear Jeanty is now in a true timeshare, we do also take Kubiak at his word that Jeanty will remain a “big part” of the team, almost certainly with double-digit carries more weeks than not. The question is if he can keep catching enough passes to hold RB2 status. Washington is now the preferred short-yardage back, but his failures in Sunday’s highest-leverage spots could keep the door ajar for Jeanty.
