  • DAL Wide Receiver #3
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Pickens saw a hamstring designation added to his status this week after playing through a shoulder ailment the previous two games, which was enough for the team to list him as questionable after a week of limited sessions. Although we expect Pickens to continue to play through his injuries, fantasy managers will want to confirm his status when the team releases inactives 90-minutes prior to first kick. If active, Pickens is an upside WR2 against the Cardinals.
  • DEN Running Back #12
Harvey was added to the injury report Thursday with a knee injury before being unable to practice Friday, ultimately ruled out for the team’s divisional clash against the Chiefs. Expect Jonah Coleman to serve as the primary rusher in addition to the possibility he sees his pass game involvement tick up in the absences of both Harvey and Tyler Badie, the latter of whom is on injured reserve. The increase in opportunity is enough to vault Coleman into viable FLEX territory for Week 8.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #15
McConkey’s concussion was always unlikely to hold him out for Week 8 with the team coming off their bye, with Friday’s injury report confirming that notion. The Chargers have under-performed offensive expectations more than any team through their first six games, leaving McConkey in the FLEX range for Week 8, a far cry from the WR2 range he was drafted in this offseason.
  • PHI Running Back #26
Barkley gave a cryptic response when asked if he would play earlier in the day, ultimately ready to gut out multiple injuries as the Eagles continue to trudge forward in an injury-decimated season. The veteran back added that the injuries are both something he will need to manage throughout the game but that he feels as if he can play through them. That leaves fantasy managers in a sticky situation, likely forced to start Barkley if he’s on the roster. Barkley is a middling RB2 in a difficult matchup on the ground against the Commanders.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #14
Tate’s game-day designation comes on the heels of three missed practices this week. His absence leaves behind an alpha’s target share to go claimed by the remaining pass catchers, most notable of whom is slot man Wan’Dale Robinson. Robinson also draws the top matchup on paper against he inside-funnel nature of the Cincinnati defense, appearing to have a clear path to leading the team in targets and receiving. Fantasy managers can start Robinson as a viable WR3.
  • DET Wide Receiver #14
St. Brown started the week off with an absence before logging consecutive full sessions to end the week or preparations, ultimately removed from the injury report entirely heading into the weekend. He should be good to go for a normal workload against the stingy Minnesota defense, where fantasy managers can start him with confidence as a WR1.
  • JAC Wide Receiver #3
Meyers managed back-to-back limited sessions to begin the week of preparation but was downgraded to a “DNP” Friday, ultimately drawing the questionable tag for Week 8 against the Colts. An absence could require additional offensive snaps for two-way player Travis Hunter and a slight uptick in route rate for Brian Thomas Jr and Josh Cameron. This is one to monitor for fantasy managers of all Jacksonville pass catchers.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Jones departed the team’s Week 7 win over the Colts after aggravating an existing knee issue. He was held out of practice Wednesday before retaking the practice field on consecutive days to end the week, ultimately deemed healthy enough to play against the division rival Lions in Week 8. Fantasy managers are likely best off finding a suitable alternative considering Jones is struggling through a sprained MCL and the team got Jordan Mason back a week ago, although managers in a bind can safely expect him to be on the field come Sunday.
  • KC Wide Receiver #4
Rice will make his return to the game-day roster after missing two games due to a hamstring injury sustained in Week 4, returning as the top option through the air for an offense that has struggled with him off the field. The Chiefs scored a combined 25 points against the Chargers and Seahawks without Rice, the latter of which tied the fewest points scored in quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ career. Fantasy managers can comfortably re-insert Rice into rosters as an upside WR2 against the Broncos, against whom Rice caught both targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in Week 1.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #2
Moore has practiced with a non-contact jersey on, in a limited fashion, both of the first two days of the practice week after coming off bye. He got in a third limited session on Friday. This isn’t exactly an exciting run-out after the bye, but Moore probably is on the optimistic side of questionable and any fantasy player that is breathing should be elevated in a game projected to have Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson at quarterback.
