  • DET Wide Receiver #14
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
The upgrades from “DNP” to full sessions indicates both players will be fine for normal workloads when the Lions face off against the Vikings Sunday, easing fantasy managers’ collective minds after both players were not present at practice Wednesday. Fantasy managers will want to confirm their respective statuses on Friday’s injury report, but it certainly appears as if the team will have their full complement of skill position players for the divisional tilt.
  • IND Tight End #84
It was his second consecutive limited showing following two missed games, with his level of activity Friday likely to be telling as it pertains to a potential return in Week 8. Warren’s absence has been felt hard by a Colts offense that has struggled to move the football consistently. He would likely return to a sizable role over the middle of the field against the pass-funnel Jaguars, if active in Week 8.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Jones was forced from the team’s Week 7 win over the Colts due to an aggravation of an existing knee injury. The fact he was able to return to the practice field in any capacity after missing Wednesday’s session is good news for his potential availability against the Lions. We would expect him to form a loose committee with Jordan Mason, if active Sunday. Fantasy managers will want to confirm his level of participation Friday.
  • KC Wide Receiver #4
That now marks consecutive days on the practice field for the veteran receiver whom has missed the previous two games. The Chiefs also had their bye in Week 5, giving Rice a full three weeks of recovery, which combines with his recent practice availability to make it likely he returns to face the Broncos. The Chiefs managed just 25 combined points in the two games without Rice.
  • NE Wide Receiver #1
The downgrade in participation raises serious questions surrounding his potential availability when the Patriots face the Dolphins in Week 8. Brown had been mostly limited in practice since being activated from injured reserve due to a separate ankle issue, with the absence Thursday marking the first fully missed practice in that window. Fantasy managers will want to monitor his status Friday as they make plans for their weekend ahead. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that the veteran receiver’s absence is due to a “flare up” of a previous knee injury, placing his status for Sunday in doubt.
  • PHI Running Back #26
This doesn’t look ideal. Barkley practiced all week leading up to his return, and at this point he doesn’t even have a limited session ahead of Sunday’s game with the Commanders. There’s probably not a zero percent chance that Barkley is playing, but at this point the best Barkley-reliant managers can likely hope for is a questionable tag on Friday. Elijah Mitchell and Jaydon Blue would be in line to form some sort of committee if Barkley can’t go.
  • CHI Defensive Tackle #98
The Titans’ fourth-round pick is in 2027 and the fifth-round pick heading back to Chicago is in 2028. It’s a massive haul for a Titans team that is once again staring down the barrel of a lost season. Simmons has been the subject of trade rumors for a while, but an offseason extension quieted the murmurs this year. Tennessee inked him to a three-year, $106 million extension in June. Simmons has consistently been one of the league’s best interior pass-rushers. He racked up a career-high 11 sacks last year and already has four to his name in 2026. Though the Titans clearly wanted Simmons to be around for years to come, they couldn’t pass on the chance to hoard draft picks as they prepare for another rebuild. With Caleb Williams healthy and playing at an elite level, the Bears are going all in on this current window. They currently rank 14th in EPA per play allowed, a mark that will certainly improve in the coming weeks.
  • PHI Running Back #26
Barkley was predictably a non-participant after re-aggravating his hamstring injury and additionally injuring his back in Week 7 against the Cowboys. Despite the injuries, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Barkley said his hamstring “came out great” and he doesn’t believe his back will keep him out. With every other Eagles running back suffering long-term injuries, Barkley is attempting to gut out his injury issues. Given his re-aggravation last week, it is well within the range of outcomes for Barkley to see limited snaps in Week 8 against the Commanders. His motivation to play makes us think he is on track to be active on Sunday but Barkley is a risky RB2 as he deals with injuries.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
It’s Jackson’s first full practice since suffering the ankle injury in Week 4. Even with the many twists and turns in this latest injury saga, we’re comfortable assuming Jackson will play this week. The fact that he was held out this long hopefully means that he’s close to 100 percent healthy. Facing a likely shootout with the Bills, Jackson projects for the second-most fantasy points at his position, behind only Josh Allen.
  • DET Running Back #0
A DNP to open the week would normally be concerning, but Dan Campbell told reporters earlier today that he was going to get a lot of players “off their feet” during today’s practice. Gibbs appeared to injure his leg while awkwardly sliding to the ground on his final carry of Week 7. The fact that he isn’t listed with a leg injury on today’s report is also a good sign. Sione Vaki is the next man up if Gibbs can’t play this week, but we aren’t overly concerned quite yet. Tomorrow’s injury report will be more telling.
