  • BAL Starting Pitcher #38
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Bradish hasnโ€™t had his best season โ€” in fact itโ€™s been his worst by ERA at 3.61 since his rookie campaign โ€” but itโ€™s certainly understandable why Baltimore would want to wrap the 29-year-old up at a rate that makes sense for both parties. For his career, he owns a The right-hander will pitch at or near the top of the Baltimore rotation for the remainder of the decade, barring a trade, of course. He owns a career 3.50 ERA, 9.4 K/9 and 1.20 WHIP over his 465 career innings.
  • SEA Center Fielder #44
Rodrรญguez returns to Seattleโ€™s lineup for Saturdayโ€™s showdown against the Giants at T-Mobile Park after missing just over two weeks recovering from a concussion, but will begin his second half as the designated hitter, with Luke Raley handling center field. The 25-year-old franchise cornerstone was hitting .259/.323/.424 with 14 home runs, 40 RBI and 12 steals in 378 plate appearances across 87 games to open the season. His presence should provide an immediate lift for Seattleโ€™s offense.
  • PIT Starting Pitcher #17
Jones drew the starting assignment for the front-end of Saturdayโ€™s doubleheader at Progressive Field and touched triple digits 11 times during an impressive 74-pitch outing where he leaned almost exclusively on his fastball and slider. The lone run against him came on an RBI triple from Travis Bazzana with two outs in the third inning. The Pirates have been cautious with his workload as he returns from Tommy John surgery, but heโ€™s looked outstanding since the start of July, allowing just two runs while compiling a 23/3 K/BB ratio over 15 innings across his last three starts. He should be rostered in all fantasy leagues at this point based on his strikeout upside alone.
  • MIL 2nd Baseman #2
Braden Shewmake takes over at the keystone with Turang taking a seat after fouling a ball off his right foot during Fridayโ€™s second-half opener. Heโ€™s delivered top-three fantasy value at second base this season, hitting .263/.359/.460 with 66 runs scored, 14 homers, 60 RBI and 15 steals in 421 plate appearances through 92 games. Itโ€™s unclear whether there are any plans for him to undergo imaging at this juncture. There should be a more definitive update on his status later this weekend. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #26
The long-term extension, which was reported earlier this week, is now official and will keep Burns in Cincinnati through the 2033 season. The flame-throwing 23-year-old earned his first All-Star Game appearance, but declined to pitch in the Midsummer Classic because of groin soreness. Heโ€™s expected to make his first start of the second half against the Mariners next week. Burns has rapidly established himself as one of fantasy baseballโ€™s upper-echelon starters, compiling a sparkling 2.54 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 118/37 K/BB ratio over 102 2/3 innings across 18 starts. Itโ€™s safe to say heโ€™s exceeded even the loftiest expectations and should be among the first pitchers selected in fantasy drafts for years to come.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #64
Somehow, Bennett returned. He struck out just three, but allowed only one hit, a single to Junior Caminero, in a gem. Bafflingly, he only found four whiffs in 26 swings and his velocity was down a full tick. He also allowed only four hard-hit balls. Bennett has a 1.87 ERA over his last seven starts and should be viewed as a locked-in 12-team starter against the Orioles next week.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #43
This move was reported a few hours ago and is now official. McCullers was up to 77 pitches in his last rehab start, so thereโ€™s a chance that he could join the Milwaukee rotation shortly. The Brewers are picking up the $2.5 million remaining on McCullerโ€™s contract. Itโ€™s a worthwhile flier given their recent injuries and the Brewers still have time to look for rotation upgrades before the August 3 trade deadline.
  • CWS 3rd Baseman #20
Vargas supplied the lone hit for either side in a low-scoring Midsummer Classic when he took his former Dodgers minor league teammate Justin Wrobleski deep with a 433-foot blast into the second deck in left field in the eighth inning. The American Leagueโ€™s pitching staff was the story in this one, piling up an astronomical 15 strikeouts and tossed a three-hit shutout. Vargas was one of the driving forces behind Chicagoโ€™s rapid turnaround, finishing the first half with a .245/.355/.493 slash line with a career-high 21 homers, 59 RBI and 11 stolen bases across 409 plate appearances through 94 games. The White Sox kick off the second half with a road series against the Blue Jays.
  • CWS Shortstop
Cholowsky receives a $10.35 million signing bonus, which represents a roughly $1 million under-slot deal, as the top-overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. The 21-year-old was universally regarded as the most polished collegiate shortstop in at least a decade with a real chance to be above average both at the plate and in the field. From a fantasy standpoint, he projects as a strong contributor in the power department with enough hit tool projection to envision a respectable batting average. He wonโ€™t help at all in the stolen base department, which caps his realistic upside. Still, heโ€™s a phenomenal prospect with a chance to bolster Chicagoโ€™s rapidly improving young nucleus as one of their future franchise cornerstones.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #32
Misiorowski has made the leap from hard-throwing phenom to top-of-the-rotation force within the last few months, posting a microscopic 1.62 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 167/27 K/BB ratio across 111 innings over 18 first-half starts. The 24-year-old flame-thrower wonโ€™t reach free agency until 2032, but with more teams prioritizing long-term extensions with their top young players, it feels a bit surprising that there havenโ€™t even been preliminary talks yet. Misiorowski is slated to resume throwing this week after being scratched from his final first-half outing due to fatigue. It doesnโ€™t appear to be a serious concern, but fantasy managers should continue monitoring his status coming out of the All-Star break.
