  • PIT Shortstop #85

This move was reported yesterday, but is now official. Griffin, the top prospect in baseball, will bat seventh and play shortstop in his major league debut in the Pirates’ home opener on Friday against the Orioles. He is worth adding in any fantasy leagues where he is still on the waiver wire
  • ATL 1st Baseman #28
Olson got the scoring started in the top half of the first inning, crushing a 3-2 fastball from Ryne Nelson for a 430-foot (108.0 mph EV) solo shot — his first home run of the season. He then smacked an RBI double in the fifth inning and scored on Austin Riley’s run-scoring double. He also added an RBI double off of James McCann in the ninth. The 32-year-old slugger is off to a solid start to the 2026 campaign, slashing .321/.367/.571 with a homer and five RBI.
  • PIT Shortstop #85
Olney adds that the two sides are still finalizing the contract, which figures to get across the finish line before Griffin’s major-league debut on Friday. The sport’s best prospect appears to be settling in for a long stay by the Allegheny. The easy comparison is to the eight-year, $130 million deal that Roman Anthony signed last August. Griffin profiles as a top-of-the-order table-setter for the Pirates right away and will pair with ace Paul Skenes as the franchise’s cornerstones for years to come. The 19-year-old prodigy batted .333/.415/.527 with 21 homers and 65 steals in 122 games last year in his professional debut. He’ll be the youngest position player to reach the big leagues since Juan Soto back in 2018. He needs to be rostered in any fantasy leagues where he is somehow still available.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #32
Williams authored a masterful performance in an extremely challenging road matchup against a Dodgers lineup that resembles a fully operational Death Star, scattering two hits and three walks over seven frames while recording double-digit strikeouts for the fifth time in his career. The 26-year-old former top pitching prospect, who posted a sparkling 2.18 ERA across 12 second half starts to close out last year, has looked like an upper-echelon fantasy starter so far, allowing three runs with a 16/9 K/BB ratio across 11 innings of work. He’ll face the Royals on Tuesday in a home matchup.
  • NYY Starting Pitcher #31
Schlittler is on another level right now. He’s still yet to allow a run or even walk a batter this season to go along with 15 punchouts across nearly 12 innings of work. In this start, he threw his three fastball variations a combined 88% of the time and the Mariners were completely helpless against them. His four-seamer led the way with 11 swings-and-misses and both his cutter and sinker played off it perfectly. Combined, those pitches had nearly an 80% strike rate as he had no fear challenging the Mariners’ hitters in the zone because they couldn’t touch him. At this rate, Schlittler looks like he could be on his way to ace-status. He’s scheduled to face the Athletics at home in his next start.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #24
it took longer than anticipated, but Painter’s MLB debut was awfully impressive; even when considering the Nationals aren’t exactly the toughest lineup in the sport. Painter allowed just four hits and one walk, and didn’t have a run charged to him until the sixth. His four-seam fastball averaged 96.7 mph and he threw several pitches above 98, and he generated nine swings and misses among his 84 offerings. Painter will be back on the bump and look to build on this effort against the Giants on Monday.
  • SEA Shortstop #85
The long-term agreement, first reported earlier Tuesday, is now official. Emerson is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in baseball and is expected to be a key piece of Seattle’s roster through at least 2033. The 20-year-old prodigy’s combination of bat-to-ball skills and emerging power makes it easy to envision him as an impactful fantasy contributor in the near future. There has been no indication the Mariners plan to accelerate his timeline at Triple-A this season, but his arrival as the club’s shortstop of the future feels almost inevitable, especially since J.P. Crawford hitting free agency at the end of the year.
  • STL Shortstop #26
Heyman did not provide specifics regarding a potential extension offer from the Cardinals to Wetherholt, who is hitting .250 (4-for-16) with one homer and one steal through his first four games in the majors. Still, it would make sense for both sides to explore a deal early in his rookie season, similar to the extensions the Red Sox and Orioles reached with top prospects Roman Anthony, Kristian Campbell and Samuel Basallo last year. This report follows Seattle’s decision to sign top prospect Colt Emerson to an eight-year, $95 million contract earlier on Tuesday.
  • DET Shortstop #7
The McGonigle era has gotten off to a phenomenal start with Detroit’s top prospect hitting .357 (5-for-14) with two doubles and four RBI through four games. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the 21-year-old hitting machine’s early-season performance has been his plate discipline, as he’s struck out just three times while also drawing three walks. He’s batting second for the first time on Tuesday night at Chase Field after hitting sixth at the outset of the year.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #52
Harrison generated a career-high 16 swinging strikes and needed an economical 87 pitches (64 strikes) to navigate five frames in his Milwaukee debut. A leadoff homer by sizzling-hot Rays slugger Yandy Díaz accounted for all of the damage against him. The 24-year-old former top pitching prospect continues to impress, aided by increased fastball velocity and the addition of a new kick changeup. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats based on his recent performance and strikeout upside. He’ll face the Royals on the road to close out a two-start week on Sunday afternoon.
